

The updates to the security features in the app have now been released. Please ensure your school community update their Compass app to the latest version.
We’re excited to share an important update that is coming out in our next app release to the security features in the Compass app that will enhance the protection of your accounts. This change is designed to give you more flexibility and control over your security settings, and is available for staff, students and parents.
What’s changing:
- Account-Specific PIN/Biometric Security: With the upcoming update, PIN and biometric security will be tied to each individual account within the app, not to the app itself. This means that each of your accounts will have its own unique security settings.
- No Need to Reset: After updating the app, the security settings (PIN/Biometric) for your accounts will remain in place. There’s no need to re-set up your PIN or biometric security.
- Manage Security Settings Anytime: You can update or remove your PIN or biometric security at any time through the “More” menu, under the settings option.
- Multi-Account Support: If you have multiple accounts signed into the app, each account will have its own PIN/Biometric security, ensuring even more personalised and secure protection.
What you need to do:
- Simply update your app to the latest version when prompted.
- Continue using your app as usual, and enjoy the enhanced security options available to you.
- If you’d like to adjust your security settings at any time, just go to the “More” menu and select “Settings” and “App security.”
