Year 10 Work Experience Recap - By Misha 10E

During the Term 3 school holidays, I completed my Year 10 - Work Experience Program.

Was fortunate to be able to participate in the 'National Australia Bank (NAB)’s STEM 2024 Program' at their Docklands office. I am keen on sharing my experiences with the school, for future students from Fountain Gate Secondary College who may consider and benefit from applying for such programs.
A total of 40 students from 26 different schools around Melbourne were selected for the program out of multiple applications.

DAY 2:

DAY 3:

DAY 4:

Shark Tank activity – students were divided into seven teams and provided with various topics e.g. Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Augmented reality.

Our idea was well-regarded by the judges, placing our team as the winner of the Shark Tank activity. Each member of the winning team was given a book titled ‘Tribe of Mentor’ by Timothy Ferriss, and boxes of chocolates!

DAY 5:

It has been an incredible learning experience, where I met/interacted with students from various other schools who shared an interest in STEM, and it gave me immense pleasure to represent my school on this platform.
