Year 11 Celebration Day
At the end of last term the Year 11 cohort went to Gravity Zone to de-stress and jump around at the trampoline park, fall into foam pits, and work on their team skills in laser tag. It was a great day where students got to focus on having fun and connecting with one another after sitting their first mid-year exams and completing their first block work placement. Thanks to the wonderful Year 11 teachers who attended – Ms Carney, Ms Latchford, Ms Oades, Mr Ritchie, and Mr Abeykoon.
Year 11 Formal
This term the Year 11 will celebrate the first Year 11 formal! Students will have an opportunity to dress up, dance, and celebrate with the cohort.
WHEN: 6:00pm - 10:30pm, Thursday 12th September
WHERE: Cranbourne Golf Club
COST: $60 – includes soft drink and snacks

Year 12
It was a busy end to Term 2 for the Year 12 students as they experienced a range of events from mid-year exams, work placements, and sitting the GAT through to camp and our RMIT experience day.
Year 12 Camp
It was a night to remember down in Mt. Eliza when the Year 12s took camp by storm. It was a day of adventuring as students took part in different activities. Each student got to know the camp with our initial Race Around Manyung where in groups students raced around the camp and performed a range of challenges that relied on their communication and teamwork.
Following this, students participated in camp activities such as the Giant Swing, Archery, Tree Top Challenge, Crate Climb and the highly regarded Kitchen Garden.
After a stroll down to the beach to watch the sunset (and get the perfect selfie) students were then challenged to a game of Teacher Bingo which involved testing their knowledge of the teachers they work with on a day-to-day basis.
Following a sleepless night of chatting in cabins and eating too many lollies, we began day two where students participated in wellbeing and relaxation activities such as boxing, mindfulness and trivia. With another round of camp activities to cap off the day – students boarded the buses and slept the whole way home.
Huge thank you to the staff who came along to camp – Mrs Jessop, Ms Latchford, Ms Oades, Mrs Mahmoud, Mr Savio, Ms Nguyen, Mr Golby, Mr Ulale, Ms Salehi.
Year 12 RMIT Day
Following camp, the Year 12 team made tracks to RMIT’s city campus to explore the opportunities available for 2025. Students were provided information about RMIT and the programs they run from a current RMIT students and then completed a scavenger hunt to familiarise themselves with the campus.
After a quick lunch break in Melbourne Central students returned to RMIT to attend specialized careers sessions that explored what finishing school looks like and how they can get assistance for further study from the Careers Team at Fountain Gate. These sessions involved students asking lots of poignant questions about their upcoming plans and decisions.
Year 12 students were also treated to guest speaker Dale Sidebottom who offered practical ideas about keeping a positive mindset, connecting with others, and how ‘play’ helps our health and wellbeing. These sessions were full of laughter, fun, and students up and out of their seats having fun.
