'Exhibition of Learning'

On Thursday the 21st of November, Fountain Gate Secondary College held the inaugural Exhibition of Learning. The purpose of the evening was for our school community to view our students’ Endeavour (STEM) projects and to celebrate their learning journey for 2019. Students in Years 7, 8 & 9 worked hard on their STEM projects all semester and were excited to invite family, teachers and alumni to view them. Everyone was very impressed with the quality as well as the wide variety of projects; from beehives to rap songs about mental health, prototypes of sustainable buildings to recycled bean bags! A huge congratulation to all students! We cannot wait to see what they come up with next year.

Thanks to the Endeavour and Science staff who put in an enormous effort to make this event such a success. A special thanks to Mr Barker, Luke Hatfield and Praveenaa Shankar for their musical performances.

Curriculum Day – Thursday 5th December 2019

Students are not required to attend school on Thursday 5th December 2019. With Curriculum Day approaching, it should be very clear that the student’s workload should have increased. Homework should be completed most nights of the week at this time of the year to ensure the best possible results. Completing assessment or set tasks and preparing for tests or examinations must be part of the student’s homework routine. If your son or daughter is not completing homework, then please contact the respective Head of School or Student Manager to raise your concerns.
