We are thrilled to announce that Year 11 student Hope Kareta has placed FIRST IN STATE FINALS for Javelin and Year 9 student Jack Schneidereit has placed SECOND IN STATE FINALS for the 100m and 200m!!!!
Jack Schneidereit competing in the 100m received second place at 11.23 seconds and second place in the 200m at 22.96 seconds. Hope Kareta competing in the Javelin placed first! Congratulations to Hope and Jack on their incredible effort and achievements!
At the conclusion of Term 3, our VCE Music, Theatre and Dance students performed their outcomes to teachers, families and friends at the VCE Cabaret Night! Members of the audience commented on how much they loved watching all of our talented Performing Arts students in a relaxed and inviting setting. Well done to all involved!
Fountain Gate Secondary College had 24 students compete at the Southern Metropolitan Regional Athletics Championships on the 10.10.2019!

Last week, our College Captains ran the annual Teachers vs Year 12 Students games! These were held during lunchtime each day with teachers and students competing in different sports! Teachers claimed the first victory with a strong lead in basketball and continued on to win netball and soccer but students clawed back with volleyball, recess table tennis and the final victory of dodgeball, resulting in an overall tie! Students and teachers alike emerged battered but thrilled with the end results! A very entertaining and fun week!
Monday saw the final fixture in the inaugural Rebel Shield Competition against rival Rugby Academy school from the west The Grange P-12. Fountain Gate Secondary College boys put on a display of high level rugby intelligence, skills and teamwork by taking a 47 – 0 lead by the end of the first half. The second half saw the introduction of the entire bench and the boys managed to pull off an impressive 76 – 10 victory.
Isaac Rawaqa was named Man of the Match, with an impressive number of line out steals, carries and pilfers at the breakdown ensure Fountain Gate kept possession of the ball for most of the game. Well done on an impressive performance and another impressive year! Fountain Gate Boys XV-a-side Rugby remains undefeated in every game they have played.

Our College was honored to receive news that Year 12 student Zahra Amini has been nominated for the 2020 Melbourne Principals' Scholarship. This is an award, nominated by the Principal of each school in recognition of your academic achievements and contribution to your school or wider community.
The Melbourne Principals' Scholarship provides a one-off allowance of $5,000 to students who gain entry to the University of Melbourne. We are very proud of Zahra and wish her the best of luck in all of her future endeavors!
