Uniforms

At Fountain Gate Secondary College, we expect our students to wear their uniform with pride. Our uniform helps develop a sense of community, and ensures consistent standards of dress. We have a range of uniform items which ensure students can be comfortable in all conditions.

College summer cotton dress

College white polo shirt or white collared shirt with logo and College tie

College navy tailored trousers or shorts

Fountain Gate Secondary College Sports Uniform:

College sports polo shirt (green and blue)

School Shoes:

If a student is wearing School Uniform, they must wear black polishable school shoes. Sport shoes are not permitted, even if they are black.  

Students must wear sport shoes with their Sports Uniform, however street shoes (e.g. high-tops, Converse, Vans or similar shoes) are not permitted.

If a student has a practical class (e.g. Food Technology, Endeavour), they must wear black polishable school shoes. If a student is wearing Sports Uniform, they change into school shoes for their practical classes.

Grooming:

Nail polish and false nails are strictly prohibited. Nail polish remover can be found in each year-level office if needed. 

Necklaces featuring a small religious symbol are permitted, but must only be worn discreetly under clothing

No other jewelry, including bracelets, wristbands, or anklets, is permitted, with the exception of a wristwatch. Smart watches which connect to the internet are not permitted

Piercings:

No visible facial piercings are permitted at school. If a student has a visible facial piercing, they will be asked to remove it. The piercing will be confiscated for the student to collect it at the end of the day from the Assistant Principal’s office. Students are permitted to have small, completely clear studs, as long as these are not visible. Students are allowed a maximum of two plain studs or sleepers in each ear.

We advise parents not to allow students to get facial piercings which cannot be removed. Covering facial piercings with tape is not permitted.

Hair:

Hair should be a natural colour, and worn in a style that is appropriate to the College uniform. Hair should be tidily groomed, and long hair should be tied back in the interest of health and safety. Long hair must be tied back in Technology and Science classes. Hair adornments should only be navy in colour.
