At Fountain Gate Secondary College students are required to study 10 units (five subjects) in Year 11 and 10 units (five subjects) in Year 12. The subjects are made up of the following:
- Year 11: 5 x Unit 1 and 2 studies (if eligible, can complete one Unit 3/4 study)
- Year 12: 5 x Unit 3 and 4 studies
