Fountain Gate Secondary College has a college uniform that has been set out by the College School Council. It is a requirement that all students wear the full school uniform, including approved shoes, to and from school. Please see the college’s Student Dress Code Policy for more details.
New College Uniforms
New college uniform is available online through the PSW website and at the PSW Store - Hampton Park.
Second-hand College Uniforms
Second-hand and some brand-new items of college uniform are available through the college website using the link below. Students and families are welcome to come into the font office to try on items and make purchases. Available items and sizes are listed on the page.
Families can access the balance of their School Saving Bonus (SSB) to purchase uniforms.
Families with a healthcare card and access to the Camps, Sports and Excursion Fund (CSEF) can use this to purchase sports uniform through the school.
No refunds or returns are permitted on any items purchased through the school.
Used uniform donations are welcome.
If families have uniform items in good condition that they would like to sell through the school website, these can be brought to the front office.
Fountain Gate Secondary College and Sports Uniform
At Fountain Gate Secondary College, we expect our students to wear their uniform with pride. Our uniform helps develop a sense of community and ensures consistent standards of dress. We have a range of uniform items that ensure students can be comfortable in all conditions.
While at school, travelling to or from school or participating in school activities, students must comply with the following:
- Uniforms must be clean and in good repair.
- Uniforms should be clearly marked with the owner’s name.
- Additional layers of clothing may be worn underneath the uniform if they are plain navy blue, white or black with NO brands/graphics visible. Approved items are tights, leggings, long-sleeved shirts, hoodless jumpers, head scarves.
- Shoes must be black leather school shoes with the college uniform OR plan all black or all white sport shoes with the sports uniform.
- Studs, sleepers and watches are the only acceptable jewellery. Any chains or necklaces must be tucked underneath uniform.
- Any hair colour, make-up or nail polish must be neutral/natural tones only.
- No visible face piercing.
- Tattoos need to be covered
- White short or long sleeve shirt/blouse with school logo
- Navy blue tailored shorts or trousers
- Blue checked dress, tunic or skirt
- Jumper, windcheater with school logo
- White, black or socks with no visible branding
- School tie
- Blue puffer jacket with school logo
- Wide-brim hat or sports cap with school logo
- Beanie with school logo
- Hair ties in school colours - plan navy blue, black or white.
- Headwear worn as part of cultural/religious beliefs - plan navy blue, black or white.
- Polo shirt with school logo (long and short sleeve options available)
- Navy blue sports shorts, track pants
- There are specific uniform requirements for students participating in specialist sports such as basketball, netball, soccer, and volleyball. These uniforms are provided by the school for the duration of the sports event.

These requirements outline which shoes are allowed and not allowed, ensuring safety and a consistent College uniform.
Formal College Uniform Footwear
Students must wear black leather shoes with the Formal College Uniform.
College Sport Uniform Footwear
Students must wear plain, single-colour athletic shoes in all white or all black with the College Sport Uniform.
Street shoes (e.g. high-tops, Converse, Vans, Nike Dunk Low or similar shoes) are not permitted.
If a student has a practical class (e.g. Food Technology, Endeavour), they must wear black polishable school shoes. If a student is wearing Sports Uniform, they change into school shoes for their practical classes.

The wearing of school uniforms by students will assist school communities by:
- Making school clothing more affordable for families by eliminating the risk of peer pressure to wear transiently fashionable and expensive clothes and shoes
- Developing students’ sense of belonging to the school community
- Promoting a sense of inclusiveness, non-discrimination, and equal opportunity
- Reinforcing the perception of the school as an ordered and safe environment
- Increasing the personal safety of students and staff by allowing easier recognition of visitors and potential intruders in the school
- Providing an opportunity to build school spirit
- Enhancing the health and safety of students when involved in school activities
- Promoting positive community perceptions of public education
- Defining an identity for the school within its community
