The Year 7 Hub Team works closely with students as they transition into secondary school and is here to support both students and families with any questions, concerns or ideas. We understand that the transition to secondary school is a significant milestone for students and their families. Our goal is to ensure every student feels confident, connected and ready to succeed. Whether it’s learning their way around our campus, using their locker, reading their timetable or settling into new routines, our team is here to provide support every step of the way.
The Year 7 Hub office is located in the courtyard, surrounded by the Year 7 locker bays, creating a welcoming community space where students can connect with staff and seek support whenever they need it.
Alongside the Year 7 Hub Team, students are supported by their classroom teachers and Thrive teacher. Through weekly Thrive sessions, students develop positive relationships, strengthen their wellbeing and resilience, and build an understanding of the Fountain Gate Secondary College values. These strong connections help every student feel known, supported and empowered to achieve their personal best.
Our Transition Program, including Orientation Day and Start Up sessions, provides multiple opportunities for students to build friendships, develop positive relationships with staff and become familiar with life at Fountain Gate Secondary College. These experiences help students understand how we learn, embrace our values and develop the confidence and character strengths needed to achieve success.
