This certificate provides an entry-level qualification for students interested in developing the practical skills and knowledge required to operate and manage a small business. Students focus on the operations, innovation and enterprise skills needed to succeed in a modern business environment while developing transferable skills relevant across a range of industries.
Students will build practical skills in business planning, teamwork, communication, digital literacy, customer service, market research, financial processes and small business operations. The course encourages creativity, critical thinking and entrepreneurial thinking through real-world business scenarios and activities.
Students will develop a broad range of skills in business operations, leadership, communication, administration and workplace innovation. The course is particularly valuable for students interested in running their own business or working as sole traders in a variety of industries.

This program is not a scored study. Students who successfully complete the Unit 3 & 4 sequence will receive one ATAR increment, which is calculated as 10 per cent of the fourth-ranked study score from the student's 'top four' Unit 3 & 4 studies.
