All electives are 10 periods a fortnight.

Each subject has literacy and numeracy requirements, and there is theory to complete. This theory is linked to the type of elective.

The two types of electives are:

Theory and practical application:

  • Theoretical aspects that prepare the student for subjects in a VCE General Pathway.
  • While the subject has practical elements, this learning is dependent on the theory being completed.
  • This subject also suits as preparation for VCE VET.

Applied practical learning:

  • More practical based.
  • Theory linked to note taking, planning/ organising, designing or communicating quick ideas.
  • Build practical skills and knowledge – especially where precise practical skills are needed in VCE VET.
